Race Descriptions

1.       Broad Street Cycles Semi Classic, Sunday March 10

This course is a mainstay of Victoria Cycling League (VCL).  It’s quiet, rolling, and has two 90 corners that will challenge the bunch.  The 2.5 km circuit spreads out the hills, and the climb comes just before the finish line, which tests both sprint and endurance ability, and keeps it safe.  Parking and registration is about 1 km east on Caleb Pike rd. Course map and profile: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/772496?units=km  Parking and registration here: https://goo.gl/maps/AoL5LCYm7hs   Schedule (subject to change):  12:00 C, D, E groups approx. 40 minutes, 12:50 A and B groups, 60 minutes

2.       Tripleshot Western Speedway, Saturday April 6

Another mainstay course of the VCL, this one is flat and fast, 500 metres around, no corners no hills.  It’s a car and motorcycle racing circuit, so it’s an oval, which makes it a great circuit for drafting and bunch skills.  If the climbers do better at Caleb, the TTT riders and sprinters will like this one. Excellent spectator event with stands and PA system.  Map and profile: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/772502?units=km Directions:  https://goo.gl/maps/xgRftSnraP32 Schedule: Youth 12-2 pm, Adults 2-5 pm. Parking outside track.
